Re: MOTOR BUILD
That site I gave you was the best of the best, but I agree 3400 is alot, although that is including pauter rods, benson sleeves (custom darton sleeves that only laskey can get), cp forged pistons and installation of sleeves and assembly of bottom end.....There are many shops that can do that for much cheaper.......If you don't want to turbo it this block probably wont even need sleeves....Think about what you really want to do.....If you want a super reliable car with that will do mid 12s thats easily attainable with a semi-stock motor and b series transmission....

Re: MOTOR BUILD
i just want it to double the horsepower. i dont know yet. just wait till someone get the lude and ill have some money to think it through. now i have to work in the chicken houses. i mainly just want to build something. run it for a while and sell and move on to the next project. keep me busy here on the farm when everything is running smoothly. if i got mad money, ill make it go 10s.

Re: MOTOR BUILD
thats smart man to go for what you want, regardless what you build you'll lose money on it, better to save for something you plan on keeping....Well try to get your motor sold....

a h22 fully gutted crx would be sweet. fiberglass 1 piece front end and fiber glass doors and a carbon fiber hatch. all that on a built and boosted h22 would run 10's

Re: MOTOR BUILD
yes it would be sweet but i might not keep the car after its done. ill be putting money into it and not getting much back. i think the h22 needs a better home.

Re: MOTOR BUILD
agreed, to build an h22 right including a quality turbo kit would cost as much as the s2000

Re: MOTOR BUILD
well lets just start with getting the head and block pressure tested to see if it has a crack or imperfection. if it does then the project might be postponed. but having a built drag car and maybe putting bets on it, it might just pay for itself. just as long as i get experience taking apart and assembly of the motor, getting some money back (bets),smoking some cars, it will be all worth it. even it will cost about as much as an s2000. wife wont let me get an s2000 like at track. but will be getting another nsx automatic for her. found one too. but it will have to wait.
one step at a time.
came home today after helping justin pull out his seats and got into a fight with wife. wont let me build up h22. saw my list of parts to do list and said thats too much. much better to have another nsx. sorry justin.

Re: MOTOR BUILD
yah its hard to try and make a profit on a project car. but it is possible. just have to be smart about it. but yah the h22 is goin to cost to much to build and its better to use that money and get a good runnin daily car.
