Post  Admin Sat Feb 14, 2009 7:36 am

So I was driving home last night and looking at gas prices. They are starting to go back up, which sucks. Makes me wonder if going turbo on my daily driver would be a good idea or not. I know it is going to kill my gas millage. So I added up what it would cost to do the motor the way I would want it turboed and NA. So which should I do??
Turbo set up the way I want it(without building the block) $7170 and should be about 370-400HP at the wheels
NA set up the way I want it(again without building the block) $4650 and should be about 290-320HP at the wheels

I'd say just go NA. just intake and exhaust, and other little mods here and there. and just drive it. when its time to get rid of the engine, rebuild it for a turbo. and when that time comes, you'll have money to do everything that you want to it. Just remember, THERE'S ALWAYS SOMEONE FASTER THAN YOU. it's because they got something everyone needs. MONEY

suspension for real! but eh depends on the money supply really...if you got the money for a turbo go for it, if you gotta be cheaper than just NA it up.

turbo: if you love the sound of the bov, turbo spool, really loud exhaust, etc. and faster car with much $$$ laying around

i voted for n/a cause i love the all motor roar of a V6 or inline 6 Cool

i love both ideas but my advice would be to do NA and buy a project car and turbo the piss out of that and smash on them v8s.

but u would be the only 350 in town turbo and that shit would be bad ass whatever u do i support.

but if u want to trubo the carso bad i say just save up and do it. its ur money and ur car. but ask tom for a loan that ninja is rich lol. niteryaz sponsored by TOMS CHICKEN FARM. lol..

im not rich. all i have is an nsx. got to save up. theres 1 car i might get in a few years when i save up some money.

1 is a supra with that one body it that you rarely see. saw it in a magizine long time ago

2 is a lamborghini diablo could be the real one or a kit car. the real one would suck money so much it wouldnt be practical to have.

im shooting for the supra. for now.

yea theres one on readytofix.com for 8900. only thing they say is wrong is iginiton is tore up. i dont really want to trust a site like that. you pay first and then they tell you where it is. thats a rip off. if i was going to get it, i want to see the car and pay right there. has anyone bought a car from that web site.

how you likeing your new exhaust bj. i think if you would have kept your resonator, it wouldnt resonate as much. and still have the sound.

i think it sounds pretty good. the track official made me stop my burn out and asked what the car was running just to make sure i wasnt too fast for a passenger or roll cage/helmet.

dude, do whatever is gonna make you HAPPY...and your gas milage shouldn't go to hell boosting the car. not any more than it would modifying it and keep it N/A. most of you driving (if you stay out of boost) will be 100% the exact same as it is now. It might honestly be better considering that the car will be tuned very well. given...that the AFR's will naturally be a bit richer being an FI application as opposed to N/A. You still shouldn't see any significant decrease in milage with boost, especially on the high way.

    with that said...i <3 BOOST
